Chairman
Sami Ghaddar is a successful entrepreneur who
has launched and led several thriving
businesses across Africa, spanning real estate,
manufacturing, distribution, and services. With
an exceptional eye for opportunity and a deep
understanding of emerging markets, he has built
a diversified business portfolio that places him
among the continent’s most accomplished
business leaders. His ventures have contributed
to economic growth and job creation across
multiple industries, reinforcing his reputation as
a visionary investor and leader in African
enterprise.
Driven by a passion for innovation and long-term
value creation, Sami expanded his portfolio into
the technology sector through his investment in
Datavera. As Co-Founder and Chairman, he
plays an active role in guiding the company’s
strategic direction and growth, supporting its
mission to drive sustainable digital
transformation across Africa and empower
institutions with modern, intelligent solutions.
Bilal Hmedeh
Founder & CEO
Bilal HMEDEH is the Founder and CEO of
Datavera and an Executive Board Director at
Intalio. With over 18 years of experience in
digital transformation across Europe, the Middle
East, and Africa, he has led major initiatives in
strategy, innovation, and market expansion.
Through Datavera, Bilal is driving Intalio’s
business development across Africa, leading the
company’s regional growth and partnerships
with governments, enterprises, and financial
institutions. His leadership is rooted in a clear
vision to bridge global technology with local
purpose, enabling sustainable digital
ecosystems across the continent.
A graduate of HEC Paris with distinction, Bilal
combines business leadership with a deep
commitment to sustainable growth and purpose-
driven technology. He has completed advanced
executive programs at Yale, INSEAD, Babson
College, and Fundação Dom Cabral. Beyond his
corporate responsibilities, Bilal is an active
mentor and scout leader, inspiring young people
to lead with integrity, compassion, and impact.
Rowan J. Vos
VP, Professional Services
Rowan J. Vos is the Founder and CEO of
CoreLink Consulting and currently serves as
Vice President of Professional Services at
Datavera following Datavera’s strategic move to
acquire major shares in CoreLink. He is an
accomplished IT leader with over ten years of
experience in the African market and deep
expertise in software development, digital
transformation, and IT management.
Throughout his career, Rowan has led large-
scale national technology initiatives across
government, private, and international sectors.
His achievements include architecting a B2P
payment platform for the agricultural sector that
processes over 15 million USD annually for
farmers, alongside several national systems that
have enhanced service delivery and financial
inclusion. Known for his innovation and
execution excellence, Rowan brings extensive
experience in enterprise system development,
payment gateway integration, and cybersecurity,
consistently delivering impactful and scalable
digital solutions across Africa.
Zainab Chondo
VP, Public Affairs and Client Engagement
Acclaimed journalist and former news anchor
Zainab Chondo has anchored major news
programs for ITV Radio One, Uganda
Broadcasting Corporation, BBC London, Azam
TV, and Deutsche Welle, where she built a
distinguished career in storytelling and
international media. Her work as a
correspondent and presenter brought global
stories to audiences across Africa and beyond,
earning her recognition for her professionalism,
clarity, and integrity.
Through her leadership and influence in the
media, Zainab has inspired a generation of
young Africans, particularly in Tanzania, to
pursue careers in journalism, communication,
and technology. As an expert in strategic
communication, she now leads Datavera’s
public affairs and client engagement, delivering
the company’s message to the market with
authenticity and impact while strengthening its
relationships across regions.
Susan Chishimba
VP, Educational Solutions
COO, EduRole (A Datavera Company)
Susan Chishimba is the Chief Operating Officer
of CoreLink Consulting and serves as Vice
President of Educational Solutions at Datavera.
EduRole, originally developed as part of
CoreLink, evolved into a separate company
following Datavera’s strategic investment in
CoreLink and now operates under Datavera’s
management. In her role, Susan leads
EduRole’s mission to transform education
across Africa through digital innovation and
sustainable technology. With more than a
decade of experience in technology,
entrepreneurship, and education, she continues
to bridge the gap between innovation and
inclusion in the learning sector.
A strong advocate for women in technology and
young entrepreneurs, Susan was recognized as
one of the winners of the Standard Chartered
Women in Tech Award. She continues to inspire
emerging leaders through her commitment to
digital empowerment, educational reform, and
the advancement of Africa’s technological
ecosystem.
